Scholarships
Scholarships are available
to journalism majors and to members of the Northwest Trail staff. Awards
follow personal interviews during Scholarship Day each spring. Scholarship Day
is usually scheduled for mid-February. These awards include both academic and
activity scholarships.
Some work study funds are
available for Trail staff positions.
Tuition and fixed fees for
fulltime students taking 12 to 20 semester hours of classes total $830 per
semester for Wyoming residents, $2,006 for non-residents and $1,130 per semester
for students residing in states that participate in the Western Undergraduate
Exchange Program (WUE). These WUE states include Montana, Alaska, Arizona,
California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South
Dakota, Utah and Washington. While not a WUE member, Nebraska residents receive
the same rate, which is 150 percent of the Wyoming resident tuition.
Students taking more than
nine credit hours are required to live in on-campus housing during their first
two semesters. A standard double room in a residence hall costs $781 per
semester, increasing to $1,191 for a "super" single room that includes Internet
access.
On-campus meal plans range
from $680 to $816 a semester.
Individual class fees, when
charged, vary from class to class. In journalism, a $50 class fee is charged for
JOUR 2000 Broadcast Production. Book fees run an estimated $325 per semester for
a typical student.
